Every November, the famous Pushkar fair is held for 7 days, finishing on the Kartik Purnima (Full Moon)

The mystique of Pushkar has endured over the centuries and thousands of men, women and cattle Flock on the shores of Lake Pushkar. It is a sprawling, vital fiesta timed for Kartik Purnima, the period Of the autumn full moon. The Pushkar Mela is at once an occasion for worship and trade, even match making. Devotees come to bathe in the holy lake where Lord Brahma, the Hindu creator, is said to have performed a holy sacrifice Called the Yagna. The lake is said to have appeared at the spot where a lotus fell from Brahma's hand.

As the bathers have to spend five full days there, a good deal of trading is done on the side. This festival is great attraction for animal trade as well as for pilgrimage. It is essentially a camel fair, traders also bring other cattle. Animals are put on show and display their skills before their sale, this is the largest festival of camel fair in world. There are exciting camel-cart races and cultural events.

The dates announced by Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation for 2003 are 05th to 08th November 2003. The 12 days in the month of Kartik will be 28th October – 08 th November. The ideal days to witness the extravanganza of cattle fair is on it's peak will be between 02th to 04th November, 2003. The best time to witness the religious ceremony will be from 05th to 08th November and the peak days will be 06th & 07th November.

Room Tent is made of double fly canvas and is spacious yet cozy (12" x 12" ft room) of tastefully Done tapestry. Roll up meshed doors and windows are provided. Soft full sized folding Beds are provided with fresh linen including all basic cotton comforts, bedside table, water Flasks & sitting chairs creates all comforts of home. The floor is covered with traditional Hand woven jute "Matting".

Each room tent has an attached bathroom (6" x 12"ft) with a WC, Sink, With running Cold Water. Soap toilet necessities and towels are on the house.
